Aaron Killgore (Director)

 

As a biologist and botanist with more than a decade of experience in natural resource research and management, Aaron Killgore is the Founder and Executive Director of East Bali Watershed Initiative.  Aaron’s diverse background in conservation campaigning and wildlife biology on five continents has included serving as a research fellow developing rangeland assessments and workshops in South Africa, project lead for the John Day Wild Salmon Conservation Project in Oregon, consulting on a variety of environmental issues, and as technical advisor to the East Bali Poverty Project. Aaron is also the founder of Live Forest Farms, a US-based import company that promotes sustainable food products from Indonesia.  

 

 

 

Intan Sunarmi (Project Coordinator)

 

Intan was raised in a farming community near the slopes of Mt. Pegunungan in East Java.  Her upbringing has inspired her to work in conservation community outreach. Having a belief that education and motivation are the keys to success, Intan is passionate about working with local communities to develop the values of keeping the natural environment conserved and helping people improve their incomes through a sustainable business practices. Intan loves to spend her spare time reading about culture and psychology, as well as gardening, tracking and exploring the authentic islands of her beloved country.
